KTW & the Canadian Anti-Spam Legistation

Commencing July 1, 2014, Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) prohibits the sending of a commercial electronic message (CEM) to an electronic address unless the sender complies with three requirements: (1) obtains the consent (express or implied) of the intended recipient(s), (2) provides prescribed identification information of the sender, and (3) provides an unsubscribe mechanism. The legislation provides for limited exceptions to CASL’s general prohibition.

This applies to YK1 in the form of any electronic message sent home from the District or school.  In order to comply with regulations we have to make sure that all member of our distribution list have agreed to "Opt-in" to receive messages.  A consent form has been developed and can be downloaded.  Please email forms back to the schools or to yk1@yk1.nt.ca.

YK1 wants to keep you updated of all events going on at the schools and in the District and we look forward to sharing our news with you.
